Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by getting onto I-110 S from anywhere in Los Angeles County. Follow I-110 S toward San Pedro. Continue on I-110 S until you reach the exit for Gaffey St. Turn left onto Gaffey St and follow it as it becomes 1st St. Continue straight, and you will reach the San Pedro area. Look for signs directing you to the Los Angeles Harbor Light. It is located near the waterfront, and you can park nearby at the Cabrillo Beach parking lot (Note: parking may have a fee, typically around $5).

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start at any major Metro station in Los Angeles. Take the Metro Blue Line toward Washington Station. At Washington Station, transfer to the Metro Silver Line (bus) toward San Pedro. Stay on the Silver Line until you reach the San Pedro terminal. From there, you can either walk to the Los Angeles Harbor Light (approximately 1 mile, about a 20-minute walk) or take a local bus (such as Line 247) that travels along the waterfront. Make sure to check Metro's website for the latest schedules and fares, as a one-way fare is typically $1.75.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can take the Los Angeles River bike path to connect to the San Pedro area. Depending on your starting point, follow local bike paths that lead to the waterfront in San Pedro. There are bike paths along Gaffey St that will take you toward the Los Angeles Harbor Light. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all bike safety rules.

• Walking

  If you are already in the San Pedro area, you can easily walk to the Los Angeles Harbor Light. From downtown San Pedro, head towards the waterfront and follow the path along the water. The lighthouse is visible from several vantage points along the shore, and you will enjoy the scenic views of the harbor along the way.
