Getting There

Driving
To reach Arch Rock, navigate to Joshua Tree National Park. From the park's north entrance in Twentynine Palms, drive south on Park Boulevard, then turn left onto Pinto Basin Road. Continue for approximately 6.8 miles to the Twin Tanks/Arch Rock Trailhead parking lot on the west side of the road. Park entry fee is $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. Parking can be difficult during peak season, so arrive early.

Walking
From the Twin Tanks/Arch Rock Trailhead parking lot, carefully cross Pinto Basin Road using the crosswalk. The Arch Rock Trail begins on the other side of the road. Follow the well-marked trail for approximately 0.7 miles to reach Arch Rock. The trail is relatively flat and easy to navigate, with a slight elevation gain. Allow approximately 45-90 minutes for the round trip hike, plus additional time for exploring the rock formations.
