Walking
From Capitola Village, Esplanade Park is easily accessible on foot. If you are near the Capitola Venetian Hotel, walk towards the beach and the park will be directly in front of you. From the Capitola Wharf, walk along Wharf Road towards the village; the park is located at the intersection of Wharf Road, Monterey Avenue, and Esplanade. The park is centrally located and well-signed.
Public Transport
If arriving by public transport via Santa Cruz Metro, disembark at the Capitola Village stop. From there, walk towards Monterey Avenue and then towards the beach. Esplanade Park will be on your left, adjacent to Capitola Beach. A single ride on Santa Cruz Metro costs approximately $2-$7.
Driving
If driving, navigate to Capitola Village. Parking is available in the Beach and Village Parking Lots 1 & 2, accessible from Capitola Avenue, Bay Avenue, and Monterey Avenue. Parking costs $1.00 per hour, with a maximum of 12 hours. Parking in the village area is limited to 3 hours at $2.00 per hour. Be aware that parking can be challenging during peak season. During the summer, a free shuttle operates from Beach and Village Parking Lot 2 to the village on weekends and holidays.
