Getting There

• BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

  If you are starting from Oakland, head to the nearest BART station, such as the 12th Street/Oakland City Center station. Purchase a ticket to the Powell Street station in San Francisco. Board the train heading towards San Francisco International Airport. The ride will take approximately 12 minutes. Once you arrive at the Powell Street station, exit the train and follow the signs to the street level. From Powell Street, walk northwest along Market Street until you reach 5th Street. Turn right onto 5th Street and continue for about 3 blocks until you reach Sutter Street. Turn left on Sutter Street, and your destination at 450 Sutter Street will be on your left.

• AC Transit Bus

  Locate the nearest AC Transit bus stop in Oakland. You can take the 1 or 1R bus routes towards San Francisco. Make sure to check the schedule for the next bus. After boarding, stay on the bus until you reach the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco. Once you arrive, disembark and head towards Howard Street. Walk west on Howard Street until you reach 1st Street, then turn left onto 1st Street. Continue walking until you reach Sutter Street. Turn right on Sutter Street, and your destination at 450 Sutter Street will be just ahead on your left.

• Ferry

  If you prefer taking the ferry, head to the Jack London Square Ferry Terminal in Oakland. Check the ferry schedule for departures to San Francisco. Board the ferry that goes to the Ferry Building in San Francisco. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ferry Building, exit and head towards the Embarcadero. Walk north along the Embarcadero until you reach Market Street. Turn left on Market Street and continue until you reach 5th Street. Turn right on 5th Street and walk for about 3 blocks until Sutter Street. Turn left on Sutter Street, and your destination at 450 Sutter Street will be on your left.

• Walking

  If you are already in downtown Oakland, you can walk to the 12th Street/Oakland City Center BART station. Once you arrive at the station, take the BART train to the Powell Street station in San Francisco as described above. If you are in a nearby area, you can also consider walking to the nearest bus stop for AC Transit or BART.
