From most parts of Oakland, head to the nearest BART station. If you're near downtown, you can go to the 12th Street Oakland City Center BART station. Purchase a ticket to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco. Once on the train, it will take approximately 15 minutes to reach Embarcadero. Upon arrival, exit the station and walk towards the Ferry Building. From there, you can catch a bus or walk to Jackson Square, which is located a few blocks north, just past the intersection of Jackson and Montgomery Streets.
