From the Del Mar Village, access the main beach by heading west on 15th Street towards Coast Boulevard. Powerhouse Park and Seagrove Park are located adjacent to the beach at this intersection. Walking is the best way to explore the village and beach area.
Public Transport
The North County Transit District (NCTD) BREEZE buses serve Del Mar. From the Solana Beach Train Station (approximately 1 mile north of Del Mar), take the BREEZE bus route 101 south towards Del Mar. The bus fare is approximately $2.50 for a one-way trip. Several bus stops are located along Camino Del Mar, providing access to the village and beach.
Ride Share
Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in Del Mar. A ride from the Del Mar Fairgrounds to the main beach area will typically cost between $11 and $15, depending on traffic and demand. This is a convenient option for reaching specific destinations within Del Mar.
Driving
From Interstate 5, exit at Del Mar Heights Road or Via De La Valle and head west. Follow the signs to Del Mar. Free parking is available at the Del Mar Civic Center (1050 Camino Del Mar). Metered parking is available throughout the village, costing $4.12 per hour, with a daily maximum of $20.60. Paid parking lots are also available, including one across from the Powerhouse Community Center.
