Turn left onto Keys View Road and continue for about 1.5 miles. The Cap Rock parking area will be on your left. Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park requires a pass. A private vehicle pass costs $30, valid for 7 days. Alternatively, you can purchase an annual Joshua Tree National Park pass for $55 or an 'America the Beautiful' pass for $80, which grants access to all national parks for a year. Parking at Cap Rock is limited and can fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Consider visiting early in the morning or on weekdays to avoid crowds.
