The entrance features a bronze plaque detailing the systematic deprivation of rights by the Nazi regime. Inside a history pedestal, an urn contains the names of over 12,000 Righteous Gentiles who risked their lives to help those persecuted during the Holocaust.The heart of the memorial features seven life-size bronze figures representing different aspects of the Holocaust. These figures, based on historical photographs, stand upon a double-tiered Star of David. A granite map of Europe displays the locations of concentration camps and the number of lives lost. Cobblestone paths and light standards replicate those of Auschwitz, and eleven bas-reliefs depict the story of the Holocaust.
