    Start your journey from the nearest bus stop in Palm Desert. If you are near the Palm Desert Transit Center located at 73-200 Fred Waring Dr, Palm Desert, CA 92260, you can take Bus Route 30 towards Palm Springs. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of CA-74 and El Paseo Dr. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles. Head east on El Paseo Dr until you reach CA-74, then turn left onto CA-74. Continue walking along CA-74 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center at 51-500 CA-74.

    If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Palm Desert. Start from your location and navigate towards El Paseo Dr. Follow El Paseo Dr east until you reach CA-74. Turn left onto CA-74 and continue to bike for about 1.5 miles. The Visitor Center will be on your right at 51-500 CA-74. Make sure to wear a helmet and obey all traffic rules.

    If you are within a reasonable walking distance, you can stroll to the Visitor Center. Identify your nearest street that connects to El Paseo Dr. Walk towards El Paseo Dr and head east. Continue until you reach the junction with CA-74. Once there, turn left onto CA-74 and walk for about 0.5 miles. The Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center will be located at 51-500 CA-74 on your right.
