Getting There

• Public Transport

  Start at the Palm Desert Civic Center. Take the SunLine Transit Route 20 bus towards Palm Springs. Get off at the stop at the intersection of Highway 74 and Pines to Palms Highway. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles northeast along Pines to Palms Highway until you reach the Coachella Valley Vista Point. Look for signs that indicate the viewpoint; it's a scenic stop off the highway.

• Bicycle

  If you're cycling from Palm Desert, begin at the Palm Desert Civic Center. Head southeast on San Pablo Avenue towards Highway 74. Continue on San Pablo Avenue until you reach the intersection with Highway 74. Turn left onto Highway 74 and cycle up the hill. Keep an eye out for the Coachella Valley Vista Point signs along the way. The ride is approximately 6 miles and offers stunning views, but be prepared for a climb.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and prefer to walk, start at the Palm Desert Civic Center. Head southeast on San Pablo Avenue until you reach Highway 74. Cross the highway with caution and follow the paths leading to Pines to Palms Highway. It's about a 2-hour walk (approx. 4 miles) to the Coachella Valley Vista Point. Ensure you have plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes, as parts of the route may not have sidewalks.
