Driving
From the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, drive approximately 11.6 miles on Park Boulevard until you reach the Intersection Rock area. Turn left after the sign for Hidden Valley Campground, Key's Ranch, and Barker Dam. Follow this road for about 1.5 miles to the Barker Dam parking lot; Intersection Rock will be visible. Note that entrance fees to the park apply: A 7-day pass for a private vehicle is $30. An annual Joshua Tree National Park pass is $55. An annual 'America the Beautiful' pass, which grants access to all national parks, is $80.
Walking
If you are already at Hidden Valley Campground, Intersection Rock is within easy walking distance. From the campground, follow the paved road towards the main park road (Park Boulevard). The rock formation will be visible on your left as you approach the intersection. The walk is short and relatively flat.
