Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From Palo Alto, head to the nearest bus stop for the VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) bus routes. You can catch the VTA Bus 22 at the Palo Alto Transit Center. Take the bus heading towards Mountain View. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 'San Antonio & El Camino Real' stop. From there, transfer to VTA Bus 35, heading towards Los Altos. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Los Altos & San Antonio Rd' stop. The Los Altos History Museum is just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Head south on San Antonio Rd until you reach the museum located at 51 S San Antonio Rd. Follow the signs for the museum entrance.

    If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Palo Alto. Head towards the Baylands Nature Preserve and follow the bike paths towards Mountain View. From there, ride towards Los Altos on San Antonio Rd.
