Discover more about Soarin' Around the World

Soarin' Around the World is a flight motion simulator attraction located in Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort. This ride uses a mechanical lift system and a massive 80-foot concave, 180-degree dome screen to simulate a hang gliding flight over six continents. Guests are lifted into the air, where they experience a virtual tour of international landmarks and breathtaking landscapes. The ride employs IMAX digital projection, spectacular aerial footage, and even artificial scents and wind to enhance the sensation of flight. The journey begins with a familiar sight to Disneyland fans: the majestic Swiss Alps. From there, you'll visit icy Greenland, swoop past sailboats in Australia's Sydney Harbour, and weave between elephants marching toward Mount Kilimanjaro. Other destinations include the Great Wall of China, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal in India, Monument Valley, Fiji's Lau Island, and Iguazu Falls in South America. The experience culminates with a dazzling view of the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night. Debuting in 2016, Soarin' Around the World is an updated version of the original Soarin' Over California, which opened in 2001. While Soarin' Over California occasionally makes a temporary return, Soarin' Around the World remains a must-do attraction for many Disneyland visitors.
