Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Pismo Beach Pier, head northeast on Pomeroy Ave towards the intersection with Ocean View Ave. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of Pomeroy Ave, which will lead you to the beach. Once at the beach, turn left and walk along the shoreline until you reach the entrance of the Monarch Butterfly Grove. From there, head inland to the intersection of Wadsworth Ave and Price St. Continue on Price St until you reach the intersection with Cave Landing Rd. Take a right on Cave Landing Rd and follow it up to the top of the hill. Pirate's Cove Beach is located down the trail on the right side of Cave Landing Rd.

    Start at the Pismo Beach Pier and bike south along the Pismo Beach Boardwalk. Continue until you reach the end of the boardwalk, where it intersects with Ocean Blvd. Turn left onto Ocean Blvd and bike until you reach the intersection with Price St. Take a right onto Price St and continue biking until you reach Cave Landing Rd. Turn left on Cave Landing Rd and proceed to the trailhead for Pirate's Cove Beach, which is located on the right side.

    Take the local bus service (check the schedule for the nearest stop) towards San Luis Obispo and get off at the stop closest to Price St. From the bus stop, walk to the intersection of Price St and Cave Landing Rd.
