The park is a short walk from the bus stop, adjacent to the Central Coast Aquarium. Single ride fares on SLO RTA buses are typically around $1.75. The Avila Beach Trolley is free.

    From Highway 101, take the Avila Beach Drive exit and follow the road into Avila Beach. Continue on San Luis Street. Avila Beach Park will be on the left, with parking available nearby. Parking in the main lot costs $6.00 for the day. Free street parking is also available, but can be limited, especially during peak season.
