    Take VTA bus route 40 to the El Monte stop. From there, walk west on El Monte Avenue, then turn left onto University Avenue. Continue for about a 10-minute walk to the preserve entrance at 482 University Ave. A single VTA bus fare is typically $2.50.

  • Driving

    From Highway 280, take the El Monte Avenue exit and head west. Turn left onto University Avenue. The preserve will be on your right at 482 University Ave. Look for street parking along University Avenue. Parking is free, but can be limited. As of July 2025, parking rates in nearby downtown Los Altos average $1.50 per hour.
