Take exit 341B for CA-85 North toward Mountain View. Continue on CA-85 North for about 10 miles, then take exit 23 for El Camino Real toward Los Altos. Follow El Camino Real and turn right onto University Ave. The Redwood Grove Nature Preserve will be on your left at 482 University Ave, Los Altos, CA 94022.

To reach Redwood Grove Nature Preserve via public transportation, start from any location within Redwood National and State Parks. You will need to get to a nearby town or city that has public transit options, such as Eureka or Arcata. From there, take a Greyhound or local bus service south toward the Bay Area. Once you arrive at a bus terminal in the Bay Area, transfer to the VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) bus system. Take the bus route that travels towards Los Altos, and get off at the stop nearest to University Ave. Walk to 482 University Ave, and you will find the Redwood Grove Nature Preserve.

For adventurous visitors, biking to Redwood Grove Nature Preserve is an option, though it requires a strong fitness level. Begin your journey by following the same route as for the car: head towards US-101 South, then take CA-85 North. However, instead of driving, bring your bike on a bus (if the bus allows bikes) to a point near Los Altos. Once you arrive, navigate to University Ave on your bicycle. Be aware that biking along highways can be dangerous, so plan to use bike paths or quieter roads wherever possible.
