    From the California State Capitol, head north on 10th Street towards Capitol Mall. Continue onto Capitol Mall, walking west for approximately 1 mile. You'll see the Old Sacramento Waterfront ahead. Cross under the I-5 via the Capitol Mall underpass. Once through the underpass, you'll be in the heart of Old Sacramento State Historic Park. This walk is free and takes about 20 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    From the California State Capitol, walk a short distance to the 9th St. at L St. bus stop. Take the Yolobus line 40 bus towards West Sacramento. The bus ride to the Capitol Mall at Front WB stop takes approximately 3 minutes. From there, it's a short walk north into Old Sacramento State Historic Park. The cost for a single ride is typically $2 - $4.

  • Driving

    From Interstate 5, take the J Street exit and follow the signs into the park. Abundant covered parking is available at the main parking structure located at 3rd and J Streets. There are also a limited number of metered, 90-minute on-street parking spaces throughout the park. Parking costs vary, with garage parking typically ranging from $10-$15 for weekend pre-pay rates. Metered street parking is available for $1.75 per hour, but is only suitable for visits of 90 minutes or less.
