Getting There

Light Rail
If you are near the downtown area, you can take the Sacramento Light Rail. Board the Blue Line at any nearby station heading towards 'Downtown/Riverfront'. Disembark at the 'Sacramento Valley Station'. From the station, walk about 0.5 miles south along 5th Street until you reach the intersection with 2nd Street. Turn right on 2nd Street and continue walking for about 3 blocks. The Sacramento Visitor Center will be on your left at 1000 2nd St.

Check the local bus routes and board a bus that travels towards the Old Sacramento area. You can use the Sacramento Regional Transit website or app to find the best route. Get off at the stop nearest to 2nd Street and walk south towards the river. Head east on 2nd Street, and after about 4 blocks, you will reach the Sacramento Visitor Center at 1000 2nd St.

If you are already in Old Sacramento, simply walk along 2nd Street heading towards the river. The Visitor Center is located at 1000 2nd St, and should be visible after a short walk. Look for the signs that indicate the Visitor Center, which is situated near the waterfront and is a prominent building in the area.

Bicycle
Sacramento has many bike paths. If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride along the Sacramento River bike trail. Follow the trail towards Old Sacramento, and when you reach the area, find your way to 2nd Street. The Visitor Center is located at 1000 2nd St, just a short ride from the riverfront path.
