Jacks Peak Park: Monterey Peninsula's Crowning Vista

Jacks Peak Park, rising 1,068 feet above Monterey and Carmel, is the highest point on the Monterey Peninsula. This 525-acre park protects one of the last three remaining natural stands of Monterey Pine forests in the United States. The park's history dates back to 1859 when David Jack, a Scottish immigrant, acquired the land.
