Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Salinas, take US-101 South. Continue on US-101 for about 23 miles. Take exit 335 for CA-183 toward Castroville, and merge onto CA-183. Follow CA-183 until it merges into CA-1 North. After approximately 5 miles on CA-1, take the exit toward Moss Landing. Once you exit, turn left onto Dolan Road, then a right onto Sandholdt Road, which will lead you directly to the beach area. Parking is available at the beach, but note that there may be a parking fee.

  To reach Salinas River State Beach using public transportation, start by taking the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus. Board Route 26 from the Salinas Transit Center to Castroville.
