Experience Fleet Science Center

Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are already in Balboa Park, the Fleet Science Center is easily accessible on foot. Start from the center of Balboa Park, near the San Diego Museum of Art. Head east on El Prado, which is the main thoroughfare through the park. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles (approximately 7 minutes). You will pass the Botanical Building on your left as you approach the Fleet Science Center, which will be on your right at 1875 El Prado.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    If you are further away in Balboa Park, you can take the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus. Look for Bus Route 7, which stops near the park entrances. You can catch the bus from various locations in the area. Board the bus and ride to the stop at 'Balboa Park - El Prado'. From there, walk east along El Prado for about 5 minutes to reach the Fleet Science Center at 1875 El Prado. Please note that a single ride on the bus costs $2.50.

  • Biking

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the nearby bike-sharing programs in San Diego. Once you have your bike, cycle through Balboa Park.
