Public Transit
From San Leandro BART station, board a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. Ride for 20 minutes and get off at the Embarcadero station. Transfer to the Muni F-Line streetcar towards Fisherman's Wharf. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the Ferry Building. From there, walk to the nearby Ferry Terminal and catch the Golden Gate Ferry to Sausalito. The ferry ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sausalito, walk to 1 Gate 5 Rd C, which is a short 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
Walking
If you're staying in downtown San Leandro, head to 1500 E 14th St and catch the AC Transit bus line 40 towards San Francisco. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the Bayfair BART station. From there, board the train heading towards San Francisco and transfer at Embarcadero station to the Muni F-Line streetcar. After reaching the Ferry Building, take the Golden Gate Ferry to Sausalito. Upon arrival, it’s a short walk to Waldo Point Harbor at 1 Gate 5 Rd C.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in San Leandro. Start by biking north towards the San Francisco Bay Trail. Follow the trail along the shoreline, which will lead you to the ferry terminal at Alameda. Here, you can catch the ferry to San Francisco. Once in San Francisco, continue to bike along the waterfront towards the Ferry Building. After reaching the Ferry Building, take the Golden Gate Ferry to Sausalito. Finally, bike from the ferry terminal to Waldo Point Harbor, which is a short ride of about 5 minutes.
