Getting There

  • Bus

    From San Lorenzo, walk to the nearest bus stop on Hesperian Blvd. Take the AC Transit Bus Line 40 heading towards 'Hayward BART'. Ride for 15 minutes and get off at the 'Hayward BART' station. From Hayward BART, transfer to the BART train on the Richmond line and ride for 4 stops until you reach 'Orinda Station'. Exit the station and walk to the bus stop for 'M-1' Moraga. Board the bus and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to St Marys Rd. Walk approximately 0.5 miles along St Marys Rd towards the Moraga History Center, which will be on your right.

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in San Lorenzo. Start from San Lorenzo and head west on Hesperian Blvd, then turn onto W. 14th St. Follow the bike pathways through the neighborhoods until you reach Moraga. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes, and you will arrive at 1500 St Marys Rd, where the Moraga History Center is located.

    For those who enjoy walking, start at San Lorenzo Park. Head north on Hesperian Blvd towards W. 14th St. Continue on Hesperian Blvd for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Moraga Rd. Turn left onto Moraga Rd and continue for another mile.
