Public Bus
From San Mateo, walk to the nearest bus stop where you can catch the SamTrans bus route 292 towards 'Milbrae BART'. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Millbrae BART station. From Millbrae BART, board a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) train towards 'Daly City'. Stay on the train for about 20 minutes until you arrive at the Embarcadero station in San Francisco. Once at Embarcadero, transfer to the Muni F-line streetcar and board towards 'Fisherman's Wharf'. Ride the streetcar for about 15 minutes and disembark at 'Fisherman's Wharf' station. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Pier 41, where the Blue & Gold Fleet is located.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local bike rental shop in San Mateo. Start by heading towards the Bay Trail, which follows the San Francisco Bay shoreline. Cycle north along the trail for approximately 10 miles until you reach the San Francisco waterfront. Once you arrive at Fisherman's Wharf, look for Pier 41, which is located along the waterfront. This option will take you around 1 hour depending on your pace.
Train
Walk to the San Mateo Caltrain station and board a northbound Caltrain towards 'San Francisco'. The train ride will take about 30 minutes until you reach the '4th & King Station' in San Francisco. From there, you can take the Muni N-Judah or T-Third Street lines towards 'Fisherman's Wharf'. Get off at the 'Embarcadero & Folsom' stop. Walk towards the waterfront, and you will find Pier 41 just a short distance away.
Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route, consider using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride from your current location in San Mateo to Pier 41 in San Francisco. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to specify 'Pier 41' as your destination to ensure the driver knows where to take you.
