Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Downtown Santa Monica, the Santa Monica History Museum is just a short walk away. Start at the Santa Monica Pier, which is a popular landmark. From the pier, head northeast on Ocean Avenue. Continue walking until you reach Colorado Avenue, then turn left. Walk along Colorado Avenue until you reach 7th Street. Turn right onto 7th Street, and after a short walk, you will find the museum at 1350 7th St. This route is approximately 0.7 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes.

• Public Transit (Big Blue Bus)

  To reach the Santa Monica History Museum using public transit, you can take the Big Blue Bus. Locate the nearest bus stop for line 1 or 7, which can be found along Ocean Avenue or near the Santa Monica Promenade. Board the bus heading towards the Santa Monica Civic Center. The fare is $1.00, which you can pay with cash or a TAP card.
