Getting There

Hiking
From the Giant Forest area, start at the Giant Forest Museum. Follow the signs for the Congress Trail, which begins at the museum and leads you through the magnificent giant sequoias. Continue along the Congress Trail for about 1 mile (1.6 km) until you reach a junction. At this junction, take the left trail towards Crescent Meadow. The trail will lead you through beautiful meadows and forested areas, and after approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km), you will arrive at Crescent Meadow. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way!

Hiking
If you are starting from Lodgepole Village, begin at the Lodgepole Visitor Center and take the trail leading towards the Giant Forest. After about 1.5 miles (2.4 km), you will reach the Giant Forest Museum. From there, follow the Congress Trail as described above. The total hike from Lodgepole Village to Crescent Meadow is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) one way. Make sure to bring water and snacks for the journey!
