Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Los Angeles, take the I-10 East freeway. Continue on I-10 East for about 90 miles. Take exit 117 for CA-62 East toward Yucca Valley. Continue on CA-62 East for about 12 miles until you reach Morongo Valley. At the intersection of CA-62 and Morongo Valley's main road (Hwy 62), turn left onto East Dr. Continue on East Dr for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve located at 11055 East Dr, Morongo Valley, CA 92256. There is no entry fee to the preserve.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Big Morongo Canyon Preserve using public transportation, you can take the Greyhound bus service to the nearest major city, like Palm Springs. Once in Palm Springs, transfer to the SunLine Transit Agency bus (Route 14) heading toward Yucca Valley. Get off at the Morongo Valley stop, and from there, it’s about a 1 mile walk to the preserve.
