Walking
From the center of Tahoe City, head south on N Lake Blvd (CA-89) towards Tahoma. After approximately 5 miles, you will arrive at the intersection with Tahoma. Continue straight on N Lake Blvd, and follow the signs to the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion. The mansion is located in Sugar Pine Point State Park, just past the entrance. Look for the parking area on your right, and the mansion is a short walk from there.

Biking
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle in Tahoe City. Start at the Tahoe City Commons Beach and head south on N Lake Blvd (CA-89). The ride is approximately 5 miles and mostly flat, offering beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. Once you reach Tahoma, continue on N Lake Blvd until you see signs for Sugar Pine Point State Park. The mansion is located within the park, so lock your bike in the designated area and walk to the mansion.

Public Transportation (Bus)
Take the Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) bus from Tahoe City towards Tahoma. Board the bus at the nearest TART stop in Tahoe City. The bus route will take you along N Lake Blvd. Get off at the stop closest to Sugar Pine Point State Park. From there, it’s a short walk to the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion within the park. Be sure to check the TART schedule in advance for the most up-to-date times.
