Getting There

  • Walking

    The North Lake Tahoe Visitor Information Center is located at 100 N Lake Blvd in Tahoe City. From anywhere in Tahoe City, you can easily walk to the center. If you are coming from the south end of town, follow the Truckee River Bike Path north along the river until you reach the Wye. The Visitor Center is located on the bottom floor of the building with the big clock, next to Fanny Bridge.

  • Public Transport

    Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit (TART) offers free bus service throughout North Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Check the TART schedule for routes and stops near you. From the Tahoe City Transit Center, the Visitor Information Center is a short walk away. TART Connect offers on-demand service via a mobile app, providing curb-to-curb transportation within North Lake Tahoe. All services are free on TART Connect except TART Connect Zone 3, which requires a small fare.

  • Driving

    The North Lake Tahoe Visitor Information Center is located at 100 N Lake Blvd in Tahoe City. From Highway 89, turn onto North Lake Boulevard (Highway 28). The Visitor Information Center will be on your right, on the bottom floor of the building with the big clock. Parking: There are several parking options in Tahoe City, including metered street parking and public lots. Be aware that paid parking is in effect in Kings Beach. Check signs for rates and restrictions. As of June 2, 2025, paid parking will resume in Kings Beach at the Christmas Tree Parking Lot and the Brook Avenue Parking Lot. All-day parking (7 a.m. – 10 p.m.) costs $10. Evening parking (5 – 10 p.m.) costs $2. Short-term parking (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) costs $2/hour, up to 2 hours. Holiday all-day parking costs $20.
