From the Union City BART station, head south on Union City Blvd towards Decoto Road. Turn right onto Decoto Road, then turn left onto Smith Street. Continue on Smith Street until you reach Old Alvarado Park on your right. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30 minutes. There is no cost for walking.

From the Union City BART station, take the AC Transit Line 97 towards Whipple Road. Get off at the Union City Blvd and Smith Street stop. Walk north on Smith Street for a block to reach the park. The bus fare is approximately $2.50.

From I-880, take the Alvarado-Niles Road exit and head east. Turn left onto Union City Blvd, then turn left onto Smith Street. The park will be on your right. Parking is conveniently available at the park. Parking is free.
