Public Transit
From Walnut Creek, walk to the Walnut Creek BART station located at 200 Ygnacio Valley Rd. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Embarcadero Station. From Embarcadero, transfer to the Muni Metro. Take the Muni Metro T Third Street line towards Sunnydale, and get off at the Montgomery Street station. Walk to the Ferry Building, located at 1 Ferry Building, where you can catch a ferry to Alcatraz Island. Make sure to check the ferry schedule and purchase tickets in advance.
Walking and Public Transit
Begin your journey at the Walnut Creek BART station at 200 Ygnacio Valley Rd. Take a BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City and ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the Embarcadero Station. After arriving at Embarcadero, exit the station and walk towards the Ferry Building (approximately 10 minutes on foot). At the Ferry Building, purchase your ferry tickets to Alcatraz Island.
