BART
From Walnut Creek BART Station, purchase a ticket to Embarcadero Station in San Francisco. Board the Pittsburg/Bay Point train and travel approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive at Embarcadero Station, transfer to the Muni Metro. Follow the signs to the Muni and catch the N-Judah or T-Third line towards the Embarcadero. Ride for 2 stops to Montgomery St. Station. Once you exit, walk towards the Ferry Building, which is a 10-minute walk along the waterfront to Pier 41.

Bus
From the Walnut Creek Transit Center, take the County Connection bus number 6 towards Martinez. Ride for about 35 minutes and get off at the Walnut Creek BART Station. From there, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at Embarcadero Station. After exiting the station, take the Muni Metro N-Judah or T-Third line, and alight at Montgomery St. Station. Walk towards the Ferry Building and continue along the waterfront until you reach Pier 41, which will take about 10 minutes.

You can also walk from your location in Walnut Creek to the nearby BART station. It’s a pleasant 15-minute walk to the Walnut Creek BART Station. Once there, purchase a ticket for a train to Embarcadero Station in San Francisco. After arriving at Embarcadero, take the Muni Metro N-Judah or T-Third line for 2 stops to Montgomery St. Station. Finally, walk towards the Ferry Building and head along the waterfront to Pier 41, which should take about 10 minutes.
