Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From Walnut Creek BART station, board a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Embarcadero station. Transfer to the Muni bus #30 (Stockton) towards the Presidio. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Presidio Main Post' stop. From there, follow the signs to Crissy Field, which is a short 15-minute walk through the scenic Presidio park.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Walnut Creek. Start your ride towards the Iron Horse Regional Trail and head north towards Concord. Once you reach Concord, follow the signs to the Bay Trail, which will lead you towards the San Francisco Bay Area. Keep riding until you reach the Golden Gate Bridge. From the bridge, follow the trail downhill to Crissy Field. The entire ride may take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace.

    Although it's quite a long walk, if you're up for it, you can walk directly from Walnut Creek to Crissy Field. Start at the Walnut Creek BART station and head northwest on Ygnacio Valley Road. Continue on North Main Street, then take a right onto the Contra Costa Canal Trail. Follow the trail north until you reach the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Once you're on the Ridge Trail, follow the signs to Crissy Field. This walk can take over 3 hours, so be prepared with water and snacks.
