BART Train
From Walnut Creek BART Station, board a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. Stay on the train for approximately 30 minutes. You will pass through several stations, including Pleasant Hill and Lafayette. Get off at the Montgomery St. Station in San Francisco. Once you exit the station, walk towards Market Street and then head towards 3rd Street. From there, continue to walk north on 3rd Street until you reach the intersection with Van Ness Avenue. Turn left onto Van Ness Avenue and continue walking. The War Memorial Opera House will be on your left at 301 Van Ness Ave.
Bus
Take County Connection Bus Route 3 from Walnut Creek. Board the bus at the Walnut Creek BART Station stop. The bus will take you to the Pleasant Hill BART Station where you will transfer to the BART train. Take the train towards San Francisco/Daly City and get off at Montgomery St. Station. After exiting, follow the instructions as mentioned above: walk towards Market Street, then 3rd Street, turn left on Van Ness Avenue, and walk until you reach 301 Van Ness Ave.
Walking
If you are near downtown Walnut Creek, you can also walk to the Walnut Creek BART Station. From the station, follow the BART Train instructions above. If you prefer to walk directly from downtown, it is about a 20-minute walk to the Walnut Creek BART Station, and then follow the train route as described.
