The Hellman-Ehrman Mansion, also known as Pine Lodge, is a stunning example of early 1900s summer retreats on Lake Tahoe. Built in 1903 by San Francisco financier I.W. Hellman, the mansion and its surrounding estate offer a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of a bygone era. Today, visitors can tour the house and grounds, experiencing a taste of Tahoe's glamorous past.

Car
From South Lake Tahoe, head north on US-50 E, then merge onto CA-89 N toward Tahoma. Continue on CA-89 N until you reach the entrance to Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park. Turn left into the park and follow the road to the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion. There is a $10 parking fee per vehicle.
Public Transport
From South Lake Tahoe, take the Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) bus towards Tahoma. Get off at the Tahoma stop and walk approximately one mile to the mansion. Follow the signs to Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park. A single ride on the TART bus costs around $3. There is also a $10 parking fee per vehicle to enter the park.
