Built in 1910 for William Childs, this Craftsman bungalow is a prime example of early 20th-century architecture and design. The house is a one and one-half story, wood-frame structure with an intersecting gable roof and inviting front, side, and rear porches. Wood shingles adorn the walls, while brick piers and steps add to its charm.Originally, the house was the centerpiece of the 200-acre Monte Vista Nursery, a citrus stock specialist established in 1907.
