7 Steps Waterfall: A Natural Cascade in Krong Ban Lung

Getting There

• Car

  From Krong Ban Lung, head southeast on National Road 78 towards Lumphat for approximately 15 km. Look for signs directing you to 7 Steps Waterfall. Turn onto the smaller road and follow it for about 3 km until you reach the parking area. Be cautious, as the road can be bumpy and dusty. There is an entry fee of 1 USD per person.

• Public Transportation

  Take a tuk-tuk or motorcycle taxi from the center of Krong Ban Lung. Negotiate a fare (typically around $10-15) for a round trip, as public transport does not directly reach the waterfall. Alternatively, take a shared taxi or moto-taxi from Krong Ban Lung to the nearest point on National Road 78 heading towards Lumphat. From there, walk the remaining 3 km or negotiate with the driver for a drop-off at the parking area. The entry fee is 1 USD per person.

• Walking

  If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can hike from Krong Ban Lung to 7 Steps Waterfall. Head southeast on National Road 78, then take the road leading to the waterfall. The last stretch involves walking on a dirt path, which can be dusty, so wear suitable footwear. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Remember to pay the 1 USD entry fee.
