Car
If you're driving from Krong Ban Lung, head southeast on the main road (National Road 78) towards the direction of the Ban Lung Market. Follow the road for approximately 6 km until you reach the turnoff for Katieng Waterfall, which is marked by a sign. Turn left and continue down the dirt road for about 3 km, following signs that indicate the way to the waterfall. Parking is available near the entrance, where you may need to pay a small fee (typically around $1) for parking.
Public Transportation
To use public transportation, find a local tuk-tuk or moto taxi in Krong Ban Lung. Share with other tourists if possible to reduce costs (around $10-$15 per trip depending on negotiation). Request to go to Katieng Waterfall specifically. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Ensure to agree on a return time with the driver, as public transport options are limited. Once you arrive, you may need to pay a small entrance fee (approximately $1) to access the waterfall area.
Hiking
For the adventurous, if you are near the waterfall and wish to hike, there are trails leading to it. Starting from the parking area, follow the marked paths, which take about 15-20 minutes to walk. Ensure you wear proper footwear as the paths can be uneven and slippery. No additional costs are incurred for hiking, but be mindful of your surroundings and carry water.
