Kachanh Waterfall, also known as Ka Chanh Waterfall, is a captivating natural wonder located approximately 6 kilometers from Krong Ban Lung in Ratanakiri province, Cambodia. The waterfall gets its name from the nearby Kachanh Village, home to the Kreung ethnic minority. The waterfall is not very tall, standing at about 12 meters. Kachanh Waterfall flows along the Kantoeng Stream towards the Sre Pork River, creating a beautiful scene amidst the surrounding stream and rubber plantations. Visitors can descend a wooden stairway of around 72 steps to reach the base of the waterfall. The cool shadows cast by the large trees make the top of the waterfall a great place for picnics. A suspension bridge offers a vantage point for viewing and photographing the waterfall. You can also take a refreshing dip in the natural pools at the base of the falls. For those seeking relaxation, hammocks are available along the stream where you can unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature. The best time to visit Kachanh Waterfall is during the dry season, from November to April, when the weather is ideal for swimming and outdoor activities.
