If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Siem Reap. Head southwest on Sivatha Blvd toward Street 9, then turn right onto Street 9. After about 2 km, merge onto Road 6 and continue straight for approximately 4 km. Look for signs directing you to Angkor Archaeological Park. Enter the park, where you'll need to purchase an entrance pass, which costs $37 for a one-day pass (as of October 2023). Once inside, follow signs to Phnom Bakheng. You will find parking available near the foot of the hill.

Tuk-Tuk
For a more local experience, hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Siem Reap. Agree on the fare before starting, which typically ranges from $10 to $15 for a round trip. Instruct the driver to take you to Phnom Bakheng, located within Angkor Archaeological Park. The driver will drop you off at the base of the hill, where you can begin your ascent either on foot or by riding an elephant (if available, at an additional cost).

Public Transportation (Shared Van)
You can also take a shared van service from Siem Reap to Angkor Archaeological Park. Look for vans at local transport hubs or travel agencies in the city. The cost is usually around $5 per person. Once you arrive at the park, you will need to purchase an entrance ticket for $37. From the van drop-off point, follow signs to Phnom Bakheng, which may involve a short walk to the base.
