Car
From any location in Bamenda, head towards the city center and follow the signs for the Nkambe Road (also known as the D1 road). Continue driving for about 20 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the Sisia Waterfalls. Look for the sign indicating the waterfalls and turn onto the Unnamed Road (X53C+56Q). Drive carefully as the road may be rough in some areas. Once you reach the parking area, you may need to pay a small fee for parking, typically around 1,000 CFA francs.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, head to the main bus station in Bamenda. Look for a shared taxi or bush taxi heading towards Nkambe. Inform the driver that you would like to stop at the Sisia Waterfalls turnoff. The fare will be approximately 1,500 to 2,000 CFA francs. Once you reach the turnoff, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers along the Unnamed Road (X53C+56Q) to reach the waterfalls. The walk can be scenic, so take your time and enjoy the surroundings. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven.
Hiking
For the adventurous, you can hike to Sisia Waterfalls directly from Bamenda. Begin your hike from the city center, heading towards the Nkambe Road. This is a long hike of approximately 20 kilometers and will take around 5-6 hours. Ensure you are well-prepared with enough water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Bamenda Highlands. Once you reach the waterfalls, you can take a refreshing dip in the water before heading back.
