Rond Point: A Cultural Gem in Yaoundé

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the Yaoundé Central Station (Gare Routière), exit the station and head southeast on Avenue Jean Paul II. Walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la République. Turn left onto Avenue de la République and continue walking for another 10 minutes. You will pass the Ministry of Finance on your right. Continue straight until you reach the Rond Point, which is located near the Ecole Normale d'Administration et Magistrature (ENAM). Look for the address 'VG66+4CV' as a landmark.

• Walking

  If you are at the Mfoundi Market, exit the market and head west on Rue de l'Indépendance. After about 5 minutes, turn right onto Avenue de l'Indépendance. Walk straight for about 20 minutes, and you will see the Rond Point ahead, marked by the ENAM building on your left at 'VG66+4CV'. This area is quite busy, so keep an eye out for local vendors and street activity.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Place des Fêtes, take a bus heading toward Ecole Normale d'Administration. You can ask the bus driver to drop you at the Rond Point stop. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you disembark, the Ecole Normale d'Administration should be right in front of you. Walk towards the square area; you will find the Rond Point easily identifiable.

• Walking

  If you're at the Palais des Congrès, exit the building and head southwest on Avenue de la République. After approximately 10 minutes, turn left onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Continue walking straight for another 15 minutes. You will cross a few intersections, and eventually, you will arrive at the Rond Point located by the ENAM building, marked with the address 'VG66+4CV'.
