Getting There

  • Taxi

    From Yaoundé, head to the main taxi park near the Marché Central (central market). Take a taxi or 'benskin' (shared taxi) towards Ngoumou. The ride takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Inform the driver you are going to Parc de la Méfou and ask to be dropped off at Metet, the closest area to the park. From there, you can take a moto-taxi (boda-boda) to the park entrance for around 1,000 CFA francs. The total taxi fare from Yaoundé to Ngoumou is approximately 1,500 CFA francs. Negotiate the fare beforehand.

    From Yaoundé, walk to the Gare Routière (bus station) and look for buses heading towards Ngoumou. The bus fare is approximately 1,000 CFA francs. Once in Ngoumou, hire a moto-taxi (benskine) to Metet for about 500-1,000 CFA francs. Ask the driver to take you to Parc de la Méfou. Be prepared for a possible short walk if the vehicle cannot reach the entrance directly.
