Car
If you are traveling by car, head to Route 430 (the Viking Trail) which runs along the western coast of the Avalon Peninsula. From St. John's, drive northwest on Route 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) until you reach Route 430. Follow Route 430 for approximately 135 km (84 miles) until you reach the town of Saint Lunaire-Griquet. Once in town, look for L'Anse Meadows Road and turn onto it. Continue for about 4 km (2.5 miles) until you reach Norstead at 263 L'Anse Meadows. The journey should take around 2.5 hours, depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from St. John's to the nearest larger town, which is Deer Lake. From Deer Lake, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a local ride service to take you to Norstead in Saint Lunaire-Griquet, approximately 100 km (62 miles) away. While there are no direct bus services to Norstead, taxis can be pre-booked, and expect to pay around CAD 100-150 for the taxi fare. Make sure to check local bus schedules for departure times from St. John's to Deer Lake.
