Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from downtown Edmonton, take the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16) eastbound. Continue on Highway 16 until you reach the junction with Highway 401 (Trans-Canada Highway). Follow Highway 401 east. Once you approach Ottawa, take exit 118 for King Edward Avenue. Follow King Edward Avenue to Sussex Drive. • Public Transportation

  Begin your journey at the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) bus terminal. Take bus route 1, which will take you to the Edmonton International Airport. From there, catch a flight to Ottawa. Once you arrive in Ottawa, use the OC Transpo public transit system. Take the O-Train Line 1 (Confederation Line) from the airport to the Rideau Station. • Train

  If you prefer a train journey, take the Via Rail service from Edmonton to Ottawa. Once you arrive at the Ottawa train station, take the OC Transpo bus route 40 towards the Rideau Centre. From the Rideau Centre, you can either walk to Sussex Drive or take bus route 7, which will take you directly to the National Gallery of Canada, located at 380 Sussex Dr, Ottawa, ON K1N 9N4.
