Located in Glenn Gould Park at the corner of St. Clair Avenue and Avenue Road, the Peter Pan Statue is a charming landmark that brings a touch of Neverland to Toronto. The statue, created by Sir George Frampton, is one of seven casts of the original sculpture in Kensington Gardens, London, commissioned by Peter Pan's playwright, J.M. Barrie. It was unveiled on September 14, 1929, thanks to the College Heights Association.The bronze statue portrays Peter Pan playing his pipes while woodland creatures like fairies, rabbits, squirrels, mice, and even a frog and lizard peek out from the tree stump he stands upon. The park, once known as Peter Pan Park, was later renamed in honor of the famous Canadian pianist Glenn Gould, who spent his childhood nearby.While visiting, take a stroll through Glenn Gould Park, enjoy the lush greenery, and perhaps bring a picnic to enjoy near this enchanting statue.
