Public Transit - Bus
Start your journey at the Halifax Transit Terminal located at 5201 Duke Street. From there, take Bus Route 7 (Dartmouth) towards the Alderney Ferry Terminal. Once you arrive at the terminal, transfer to Bus Route 61 towards Africville. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 5795 Africville Rd. The Africville Museum will be a short walk from the bus stop.

If you are close to the waterfront in downtown Halifax, you can walk to the Africville Museum. Head north on Lower Water Street, then turn left onto George Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Gottingen Street. Turn right on Gottingen Street and walk north until you reach the intersection with Africville Rd. Turn left onto Africville Rd; the museum will be on your right at 5795 Africville Rd.
Bicycle
For those biking, start at the Halifax Waterfront and follow the bike path along Lower Water Street. Continue north, connecting to the bike lane on Gottingen Street. Follow Gottingen until you reach the intersection with Africville Rd, then turn left. The museum is located at 5795 Africville Rd; secure bike racks are available nearby.
