If you are driving, head towards the city of Montreal from anywhere in Laurentides. Take Route 117 South, which will merge into Autoroute 15 South. Continue on Autoroute 15 until you reach the Ville-Marie Expressway (Autoroute 720). Take the exit for 'Centre-ville' and follow the signs for 'Vieux-Montréal'. Once you reach the Old Montreal area, look for signs directing you to Place Jacques-Cartier. You can park in nearby public parking lots, but be aware that parking fees apply, typically around CAD 2-3 per hour.
Public Transportation - Bus
Take the bus from your location in Laurentides to the Montmorency Metro Station. From there, take the Metro Line 1 (Green Line) towards Angrignon. Transfer at Berri-UQAM Station to Line 2 (Orange Line) and travel towards Côte-Vertu. Get off at the Jean-Drapeau Station. Exit and walk approximately 10 minutes towards Place Jacques-Cartier. Alternatively, you could take the 747 Airport Express bus from the airport to downtown and then transfer to the Metro, or use local bus services that connect to Montreal Metro stations.

Once you arrive at Central Station, exit and walk to Bonaventure Metro Station. Take the Metro Line 1 (Green Line) towards Angrignon and transfer at Berri-UQAM Station to Line 2 (Orange Line), heading towards Côte-Vertu. Get off at the Jean-Drapeau Station and walk approximately 10 minutes to reach Place Jacques-Cartier.
