To reach the Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History, start by heading to the nearest Metro station. If you are anywhere in downtown Montreal, make your way to the 'Place-d'Armes' station on the Orange Line. Once you arrive at 'Place-d'Armes', take the exit that leads to the square. From the station, walk southeast on Rue St-Antoine towards Rue McGill. Continue straight until you reach Place Royale, which should be a short 5-7 minute walk. The museum is located at 350 Place Royale.

If you prefer to take the bus, look for a bus stop nearby. The STM (Société de transport de Montréal) offers several routes that stop near the museum. Routes 14, 55, and 129 are good options. Board the bus heading towards Old Montreal. Request a stop at Place Royale, and once you get off, it will be just a short walk to the museum entrance at 350 Place Royale.

Walking
If you are already in the Old Montreal area, you can easily walk to the museum. Start at the Notre-Dame Basilica, located at 110 Notre-Dame St W. Head east on Notre-Dame Street towards Place d'Armes, then turn right onto Rue Saint-Sulpice. Continue straight until you hit Place Royale. The museum will be located on your left at 350 Place Royale, just a few minutes' walk from the Basilica.

Bicycle
Montreal is bike-friendly, so if you have access to a BIXI bike or your own bicycle, you can cycle to the museum. From the downtown area, head towards the St. Lawrence River. Follow Rue McGill towards the waterfront, then turn left onto Rue de la Commune. Continue along the river until you reach Place Royale. Lock your bike at one of the nearby bike racks, and the museum entrance at 350 Place Royale will be right there.
